A political hero, The Torukongo 1 of Okrika Kingdom Chief
John Ochi is A PARAMOUNT RULER IN OKRIKA local government of Rivers State and
he is the chairman and founder of the Torukongo Foundation .He was born in May
1968, He started his primary and
secondary education from the Famous Boys state primary school Okrika and
Baptist High school Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Respectively. He also obtain a degree in Astrology from INDIA.
Chief John Ochi has worked with Rivers State Security Service under the supervision of Alhaji Kola Adeshina He uses his keen powers of observation, his brilliant mind and his flair for mischief to solve crimes. he is valued because his involvement in any investigation brings out the best lead to the case.
When the Militant declared that there was not going to be an election in the entire NIGER- DELTA region during the 2007 general elections, it was this illustrious Royal Father that single- handedly champion the political re- engineering programme that brought about the famous AMNETY package of the late President Umar Musa YaraDua.
Attempt to catalogue Chief Ochi's achievement and input to community development project is a herculean task. However, some highlight will convince the doubting Thomas of his indelible imprints. In the area acquisition, he has sponsored several youth to acquire skills in Pipe-Line/Fabrication, Computer literacy, hairdressing and tailoring,etc..
